My favorite season is the Fall...but my second favorite is the Spring. I personally find it way easier, and more fun, to dress up in these warm but also cool seasons. It's great because you're not tied down to wearing a ton of layers, but it's also not that hot that you can't wear pants or add a sweater to your outfit.
These past Spring trends, especially this year, have been really killing the game. I almost feel as if the pandemic has brought fashion to a whole new level. While everyone was staying at home, they were expressing themselves through posting their outfits online...(and we all know we went a little overboard with ordering clothes over quarantine). The fashion influencer industry has definitely soared this past year with the rise of micro influencers and the power they have with their fashion sense and their followers.
There are so many growing influencers on Instagram and TikTok that I look to for fashion inspo and spring trend ideas. Below, I talk about some of these influencers and the spring trends that are taking over the fashion industry this season!

1. Beaded Jewelry
Beaded, funky jewelry is definitely an oldie trend that is coming back. It reminds me of jewelry from when I was younger so I was so surprised when I saw they were coming back. I first started seeing the Martha Calvo collection mentioned on TikTok by @victoriaparisf. You can see below in the last picture, the beads are all mix-matched around the whole necklace, with some other eye-popping beads added, for color blocking. Because their necklaces are over $100, a lot of smaller stores are designing their own similar necklaces at a cheaper price if you're looking to save some money. To save even more money, I went ahead and created my own necklace with old bracelet beads I had sitting around my room. Here is my TikTok to show you how to make it because I'm actually obsessed and can’t wait to wear it out.
As you can see in the second picture, this bead design has also influenced rings that I have been seeing more and more of, as well as earrings too. I love the bright, rainbow colors, and I think it goes perfect with the pop of color trend this Spring as well. I've also seen these necklaces being worn with swimsuits which I can't wait to pair in the warmer seasons.
2. Knit/Crochet Material
I love the crochet/knit look! I've been seeing it in dresses, tops, skirts, sweaters...everywhere really, and it's so cute. Again, with this trend, we are seeing more pops of color, funky patters, and flowers for the Spring. After browsing for dresses one day, I caved two days later and I ordered that yellow dress you see down below...and made a TikTok of course.
Featured below are @karsenkimball , @victoriacasalino, @alyssaturzenski serving some crochet/knit looks. I found them on Instagram, and I've been following them for a couple months now, and they always have the best style content, like these cute knit pieces. What I love about these pieces is that it is all you need to have a killer outfit because it is just so cute alone!
3. Mini Skirts
I've been seeing mini skirts pop up more and more recently, and I have a feeling they are coming back. These skirts are also coming in bold and funky patterns, going along with the overall spring trends this year. Again, we have @victoriacasalino, @alyssaturzenski , as well as @mjhedderman, showing off their outfits with a mini skirt. You can pair it with a crop top, long sleeve, or sweater. I’ve primarily seen most satin skirts, but I’m sure other fabrics will be popular too.
4. Gucci's Rubber Slide Sandals
I am totally not one to obsess over shoes, but these Gucci slides are beautiful. They come in tons of different colors, as you can see below. Steve Madden has also come out with a similar design, and I may or may not have ordered my own pair in the pink color the other day. Once again, we are seeing bright colors, and I am totally getting Barbie vibes, especially with the pink, blue, and yellow. I could hardly decide what color I wanted, but I had to go with pink. As long as they don’t sell out right away, I might buy a more neutral color as well so I can wear them with more outfits. I can't wait to wear these soon!
5. 3-Piece Bikini Sets
By now, you probably know that I am obsessed with matching sets. And what's better than a matching set? A TRIPLE MATCHING SET! This year, I have been seeing lots of bikini full sets, with the top, bottom, and either a cover up skirt or normal bathing suit cover up. Shein has a ton of these sets in all different colors and patterns. Featured below is @karsenkimball and @suedebrooks who also have the greatest fashion sense that I look up to, wearing the cutest sets.
6. High-Waisted Long Denim Shorts
I think this is one trend that I'll talk about but never wear. I just feel like I can't pull off this look because I am not that tall, but that's just me. I am all about the high-wasted paints and long biker shorts, but I am not sure how I would look in these long jean shorts. @victoriacasalino is of course killing it, as well as the other girls in the pictures that I got from Pinterest, and these shorts can make for many cute outfits since you can pair literally anything with jeans.
Can't wait to see you all rocking these spring trends!
